THE POWER OF KINDNESS

Kindness can change lives. Even the smallest act of kindness or kind gesture can make a significant impact. I have met celebrities before and I have never been one to get “starstruck”. I believe that we are all one and that we all have the capacity for greatness. I do not feel that anyone is better than anyone else. I do have respect and appreciate talent, hard work, dedication and natural gifts, but I have never idolized a musician, actor, athlete, celebrity etc. I had never met someone who had made a great impression on me.

Then, this past May, I met Dr. Wayne Dyer in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. My daughter, Jasmine and I had attended a “Writing From Your Soul” weekend event hosted by Reid Tracy, the CEO of Hay House Publishing. We had never heard of Dr. Wayne Dyer, Reid Tracy or Hay House Inc. until weeks before going to Florida. We had learned that Dr. Wayne Dyer is an international best-selling author and a motivational speaker.

 

 

Once in Florida, I had completely resonated with every word that Wayne Dyer spoke. I could relate firsthand to his connection with Source and writing from your soul. For the first time in my life, while listening to him speak, I felt spiritual oneness and I did not feel so different anymore. Everything I have always believed to be true, had connected in an instant.

As I waited in the long line, to get my books signed, I was captivated by Wayne Dyer’s kind demeanor. This person did not just talk about kindness, he “walked the talk”. He genuinely connected and valued each person. When it was our turn, Dr. Wayne Dyer graciously signed my books and took photos. We had spoken, but quite honestly I was terrified that this man would ask me some question related to his amazing career, like which one was my favorite book? I did not want to admit to this kind man, signing my newly purchased books, that I have never read a book of his in my life.

It was only that weekend that I was made aware of the positive impact that this incredible soul makes on many lives. I tried to leave because I felt that the other devoted fans were more deserving of his time. As I was walking away, Dr. Wayne Dyer started talking to Jasmine and I again. I turned back and we conversed some more. This man generates so much kindness that it was oozing out. In fact, Dr. Wayne Dyer made such an impression on me that my parting words were “You are very kind”.

 

 

For Wayne Dyer it may not have been a big deal. For me, it transformed my life. He took extra time to connect with my daughter and I, and made us feel like we mattered. After meeting Dr. Dyer, I wanted to be even kinder. I wanted to change even more lives. His kindness has impacted me immensely. So much, that even months later, I am still amazed by this incredible man who has personified the epitome of kindness.

I deeply respect the spirit that Dr. Wayne Dyer embodies. His contagious kindness encapsulated me. I hope his kindness continues to spill over and overflow into your life. You can also continue to spread this wave of kindness throughout your world. It does not take much to make a difference. You can start small.

Acknowledge People

Say hi, smile or wave to people that pass you by. It is a simple gesture, but can make the world of difference to someone who is lonely or having a bad day. You may also enhanced someone’s good day. Either way, it is a nice thing to do.

Take Time To Listen

It is so easy to just talk about ourselves. Take some extra time to listen to others. This shows that you care. You will have a deeper and more meaningful connection.

Spread Kindness To Everyone

It should not matter what race, religion, social status etc that people are. Be kind to everyone. We are all human.

 

 

I have a deep respect for Wayne Dyer and what he stands for. (I even joined a Wayne Dyer Facebook Fan Club). Who am I??? This is a true testament of how a few moments of kindness, can transform a life. He has raised the kindness bar for my everyday life. Wayne Dyer’s message is now being transferred onto you. You have the power to choose kindness in your daily lives. You never know who you will positively impact.
