IT IS ALL ABOUT THE ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE

Gratitude is important for living a happy and fulfilling life. Many people get too busy and forget to take the time to appreciate the many gifts in life. It is the Thanksgiving long weekend here in Canada, so I feel it is the perfect time to talk about gratitude.

START YOUR DAY WITH GRATITUDE:

Many people start off their day by giving thanks. You can express thanks for being alive. You can be grateful that it is a brand new day and you can begin the day with a “fresh” start. No matter how big or small, there is always something you can be grateful for. This will start your day off with a positive mindset.

KEEP A GRATITUDE JOURNAL:

You can list 3-10 things in a journal that you are grateful for each day. You can buy a regular journal or the Simple Abundance Journal of Abundance by Sarah Ban Breathnach. This can become a wonderful daily habit. This can help you take a deeper look at what or who is making you most happy. It can be helpful for those suffering from depression.

WRITE THANK YOU NOTES:

It is nice to feel appreciated. Write a thank you note and give it to someone that you feel deserves recognition. If you do not want to give a thank you card, then an e-mail, text, or phone call will do just fine. This simple gesture can create such an positive impact to both you and the recipient.

EXPRESSING GRATITUDE CREATES ABUNDANCE:

Continually expressing your gratitude, will bring about more things that you will be grateful for. I have tried this many times and it works. This is brought about through the Law of Attraction.

Gratitude

In prior years, I was naive enough to think that I had made such a huge discovery with this power of gratitude.  The secret to my happiness would always to be grateful for what I did have, instead of what I didn’t have. Then, I had realized Oprah, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra and many others have also learned this same lesson. So there must be something to be said about it.

Today, I will be spending this lovely holiday with my family. Traditionally, we each take our turn to state what we are grateful for, before we start eating.  I will be expressing thanks for my health and the health of my family. I am thankful for all the lessons I have learned, my growth and the opportunities that continue to come my way.   I am grateful for all the amazing people in my life and for all of you taking the time to read this blog.  Even if you are not celebrating Thanksgiving this weekend, it is important to take the time to express gratitude.  It really does bring about more great things in your life.
