Trina Hall Lifting You Up Higher and Higher
Going to a live taping of The Price is Right has been a lifelong dream of mine. I grew up watching it with my grandmother. I am not the only one that is captured by the special magic of this show. For 43 years, hundreds of people have gathered to wait in line at CBS Studios in Los Angeles, for a chance to get up on stage. To hear your name called out, followed by the infamous words “COME ON DOWN” motivates several people from around the world, to flock to this show. You hope to win prizes, play games like “Plinko” and spin the Big Wheel.
You wait in line for several hours and the entire process takes a minimum or 6-7 hours…although it goes by fairly quickly. Needless, to say, I had time to absorb the entire experience. There was so much excitement in the air. Many people attended the show with large groups of people and were having tons of fun. The lines were filled with people wearing bright shirts with clever sayings. Throughout this experience, I found there was a common theme.
The Price Is Right Theme of Life
In some form or another, each person shared a common theme. Many of the shirts mentioned The Price Is Right being on their “Bucket List”. The shirts and the spirits of everyone, implied that each one of us shared a unified goal. We were all connected as one with the excitement of life and full of joy. Isn’t that what we all reach for in life?
Never Give Up On Your Dream
In 2006, I flew from Toronto, Canada to Los Angeles, USA (2520 miles) to attend The Price is Right. It was such a disappointment when I showed up really early in the morning, only to find out that the show was canceled for the dates of my entire stay. Every day for almost a decade, I have been staring at my old ticket on my vision board. After nine years, I finally made it back to the show. If there is something that you have ALWAYS wanted to do, try and make it happen. No matter how long it takes. You cannot put a price on the feeling you get after accomplishing a goal that you always wished to obtain.
You have a choice each day to follow The Price is Right Theme of life. You can do all the things in life that brings you joy and excitement. It may not be to want to go to The Price is Right…but each one of us have dreams, goals and passions. No long how long it takes, keep at it. It will be worth it in the end.
